CAREER GUIDANCE COUNCELING

All Grade 9 to Grade 12 students are assisted in their choice of degree to pursue after high school graduation. The APS has a Committee – the CGC – that takes charge of them by inviting Career Guidance and Counselling providers or company to conduct a workshop that will clarify all the students’ queries related to college entries and programs. The Committee also ushers the students outside the school to visit Universities in the locality to give them ideas of college environment.

COMMUNITY SERVICES

We Share Because We Care

We believe that CARING is an essential component of holistic education. Community service is an avenue wherein students participate in sharing what they have. Usually, we have boxes for the Red Crescent for donations done yearly.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

The “Friends of the Library” is composing of several students promoting books for reading.

They created the “Mobile Library” – 3 carts of books are roving in the yard and the students particularly cycle 1 & 2 can get a book and explore while having their snacks. The older students encourage the younger students to read books and assist them in their reading.

Health and Safety

Safe Schools are effective schools. The safety and well- being of our students is of paramount importance to us. We provide each student a diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes academic excellence. The school PASSED all Health and Safety evaluations conducted by the authorities.

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR'S DAY

The Young Entrepreneurs Day is a fun filled, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business. It was an opportunity for the students to plan their business, decide and accomplish their plan.

Respect and understanding of the values and roles of Islamic religion in the UAE society are continuously enhanced through the Morning Assemblies characterized by reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an, brief presentations and speeches on UAE’s great men. All students participate in the Arabic & Islamic celebrations. KG students are able to explain the Pillars of Islam. They were trained to explain while they are doing the role play. Students’ knowledge about Islam subject is continuously enhanced through activities inside the classrooms and by engaging the students in Islamic competitions.

SUPPORT CLASSES

“Every learner needs a Champion”. We support students who are struggling in any subject area, particularly in English, Math, and Arabic subjects. An IEP is prepared to monitor them. In KG 1 to Grade 3, we have Teacher Assistants, whose main duty is to assist challenged students. Parents are informed so that they can also partner with the school in helping them.

Towards a brilliant future

– your child’s first steps
towards a brilliant future.”

At the KG all the activities are based on high-level educational principles and are designed to stimulate and improve students’ mental processes, creativity and curiosity. Students participate in various activities that give them the opportunity to move, play, and work individually and collectively. These reflect, reinforce and develop their physical, emotional and social aspects.

NATIONAL IDENTITY

The Values, Moral Ed, and National Identity are linked across all lessons. All students are taught about the UAE History, Art, UAE celebrations and events. Students made exhibits Re: “Made in UAE” featuring UAE’s best including the Burj Khalifa still on display along the corridor. We linked our lessons to the Expo 2020, “My School’s Journey” that contains the “The Legacy of UAE.”

STUDENT COUNCIL & LEADERSHIP

The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body.

HEALTHY FOODS ONLY AND CLEANLINESS

The school allows only healthy foods to be brought to school. Parents know about this.

The school nurse routine every day is to inspect cleanliness of the surroundings. Students are encouraged to take care of their health by maintaining cleanliness from head to foot. APS implements “NO Littering.” Students know where to put their thrashes as the school practices waste segregation and recycling.
