Aside from the formative and summative assessments, we measure our effectiveness as international school by engaging our students to different standardized test such as:
NWEA MAP – Measure of Academic Progress
The MAP NWEA test is a computerized adaptive test that is designed to measure a student’s knowledge and skills in reading, language usage, mathematics, and science. The test is administered two times a year, allowing us to track each student’s academic growth and identify areas where additional support may be needed.
SAT – Scholastic Achievement Test
AP – Advanced Placement Test
The SAT is designed to measure a student’s readiness for college-level coursework in reading, writing, and mathematics. It consists of multiple-choice questions and an optional essay section, and is administered by the College Board, a non-profit organization that also provides other educational services such as AP courses and exams.
MOE Test – Ministry of Education Test
The Ministry of Education Test (MOE Test) is an annual standardized test that is administered to all students in the UAE. The test is designed to assess students’ knowledge and skills in various subjects, including Arabic language, Islamic studies, English language, mathematics, science, and social studies.
EMSAT – Emirates Standardized Test
The EMSAT test is designed to assess students’ academic skills and knowledge in subjects such as English language, mathematics, and science. The test is used to measure student progress and performance, as well as to provide feedback to teachers, students, and parents on areas of strength and weakness.
TIMSS – Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study
The TIMSS is an international assessment of the mathematics and science achievement of fourth and eighth-grade students. The study is designed to provide information about trends in mathematics and science achievement over time and across countries, and to identify factors that may be associated with high levels of achievement.
PIRLS – Progress in International Reading Literacy Study
The IEA PIRLS is an international assessment that evaluates the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students across a wide range of countries. The test is conducted every five years, and it is designed to provide information about trends in reading achievement and to identify factors associated with high levels of reading achievement. The results are used to improve literacy instruction and to develop effective policies and programs for students at all levels.
